Wednesday, February 15th, 2012Matt Chandler (USA) On Spur Tree Jerk
Tuesday, September 13th, 2011This is a great product. I’ve been to Jamaica and had authentic jerk
chicken. This tastes the same as when I was there. After purchasing many
jerk products in the USA I’m happy I found this. I won’t buy any other
jerk product now. Thanks for the response!

Sarah (Kingston & Fort Lauderdale) On Spur Tree Sauces
Monday, August 1st, 2011My husband is a hot sauce connoisseur. He is constantly looking for the “perfect” sauce: a clean pepper flavor, and enough heat to “make him cry” (figuratively, of course!) When he discovered Spur Tree’s Crushed Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce, it was love at first taste – now our home cannot be without it.
For me, Spur Tree’s Pepper Jelly is the “must-have” ingredient for our home. It’s sweet, and has just enough of a kick, and is completely addictive with all kinds of cheeses: cream cheese, cheddar, pepper jack – served with crackers it’s an instant and easy hit for entertaining.
When we got married, we wanted to send our overseas guests home with a ‘taste of Jamaica’ gift bag – I knew right away that Spur Tree products had to be included. Our guests unanimously raved about the Crushed Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce and Pepper Jelly, and are clamoring for more!

10-Mar-2011 | Spur Tree Introduces Oxtail Seasoning
Thursday, March 10th, 2011Spur Tree Spices launched last Thursday its Jamaican Oxtail Seasoning — a rich blend of aromatic Jamaican spices — at the Jamaica Manufacturers’ Association (JMA) Limited’s headquarters at 85a Duke Street, Kingston.
The idea to add yet another ‘all-in-one’ seasoning to the Spur Tree line came about after a request was made by the company’s US market, already familiar with the curry and jerk seasonings, who felt there was a need for an all-in-one oxtail seasoning. Thus began nine months of perfecting the recipe and taste tests, both locally and overseas.
The result — as described by co-principal Dennis Hawkins — “a countryside oxtail that even I can make”. There’s more good news, like zero prep time which Hawkins believes will find favour with food service employees and housewives alike. Immediate past president of the JMA Doreen Frankson describes Spur Tree Jamaican Oxtail Seasoning as “an all-in-one homestyle delicious burst of flavour… you can’t get more Jamaican than this”.
Chairman Caribbean Culinary Federation Bill Moore was also effusive in his praise for the product describing the oxtail seasoning as “an innovative and creative product that allows the user to achieve an excellent product in a consistent, cost effective and efficient way”. There was no disputing this as guests, following remarks by Spur Tree Spices CEO Mohan Jagnarine and JMA president Omar Azan, tantalised their taste buds with delectable morsels of oxtails prepared by Courtleigh Hotel and Suites commis chef Robert McLeish.

Erica (Connecticut) On Spur Tree Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce & Curry Seasoning
Thursday, April 8th, 2010“I’m happy to say my local store has now re-stocked their shelves with Spur Tree Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce – thanks for your help! I must also say I tried your Curry Seasoning and I had to say to my Mom the following day “where is that scotch bonnet flavor smell coming from?” and she said, “remember that curry sauce has scotch bonnet pepper in it”. It’s delicious…thanks for creating such a beautiful curry. Do you know where your Pepper Jelly is sold in Brooklyn, in particular or anywhere in New York City?”
